Mineralizer for RO systems that restores the desired taste and mineral composition of water

FITaqua AC-IL-MIN was developed as a professional inline cartridge for drinking water, typically used in reverse osmosis installations. In practice, this means that the cartridge operates where water has already been thoroughly purified by an RO membrane and then requires re-enrichment with selected micro- and macroelements.

The cartridge uses natural dolomite deposits with low sodium content. Thanks to the linear water flow, the mineralizer saturates the water with mineral components that not only improve its taste perception, but also provide a more natural profile for water used every day for drinking and cooking.

Why use a mineralizer after reverse osmosis?

In systems such as reverse osmosis, the water filter removes a very broad spectrum of contaminants from the water. The final mineralizer is therefore an important stage of the entire process, because it enriches the treated water with natural minerals and improves its everyday usability.

The inline mineralizing filter performs an important function not only because of the expected taste of the water. Mineralization is also desirable for people who want to use water with a composition closer to high-quality mineral waters. Water previously purified by a reverse osmosis filter, after passing through the mineralizer, can also transfer the beneficial mineral compounds it contains to dishes prepared with it.

Natural dolomite deposits and the mineral composition of water

One of the most important features of the AC-IL-MIN FITaqua model is the use of natural dolomite-based mineralizing deposits. A properly selected deposit composition is important for the final composition of the water and for maintaining the recommended proportions of mineral saturation.

The cartridge adds the following components on average to each liter of water flowing through it:

Cations

• calcium: approx. 26 mg,
• magnesium: approx. 20 mg,
• sodium: approx. 1 mg,
• potassium: approx. 0.5–1 mg.

Anions

• carbonates: approx. 25 mg,
• bicarbonates: approx. 30 mg,
• sulfates: approx. 10 mg,
• chlorides: approx. 5 mg.

This mineralization profile makes the water after filtration more pleasant in taste and better suited to everyday use at home.

Application and installation location

Mineralizers in reverse osmosis systems are installed at the final treatment stages. AC-IL-MIN FITaqua works as the last stage of water production or, in systems equipped with a bioresonator, before bioceramic filters.

Thanks to this, the cartridge can be easily integrated into a typical RO water filtration system as the component responsible for final mineralization and taste improvement.

Who is it suitable for?

FITaqua solutions are optimized for Polish water conditions and comply with applicable standards in Poland for drinking water treatment. The cartridge is especially recommended for households using RO filters, including those where the installation is used by families with small children, elderly people, and people engaged in intensive physical or mental work.

Operation and cartridge replacement

To maintain stable mineralization quality, the cartridge should be replaced regularly. Typical service life is about 6–12 months, although the actual operating period depends on the quality of the water supplied to the system and its degree of contamination.

Even with less intensive use, the period of one year of operation should not be exceeded. Regular cartridge replacement helps maintain the expected water taste, the proper level of mineralization, and the correct operation of the entire treatment system.
