This is a complete 2-stage pre-filter designed for installation at the inlet of a household water system. Its task is to mechanically retain contaminants present in utility water before they reach further elements of the system.

The filter stands out with its practical design and well-thought-out operating layout. The first stage captures larger contaminants and reduces the load on the next filter cartridge, while the second stage is responsible for more precise water purification from finer sediments. This arrangement helps extend the service life of subsequent elements of the water filtration system.

1st filtration stage – WST10-50 TOP FILTER

The first stage consists of the WST10-50 TOP FILTER reusable mesh cartridge, designed to remove mechanical contaminants such as sand, rust, suspended solids, and similar sediments.

Its major advantage is reusability. Unlike many disposable solutions, the cartridge can be cleaned and reused for water filtration. Cleaning involves rinsing the cartridge under running water, which makes ongoing use easier and reduces operating costs.

As the first stage of operation, the mesh cartridge effectively captures larger contaminant particles, allowing the next cartridge to operate under more favorable conditions and maintain its effectiveness for longer.

2nd filtration stage – PP20 WodaRO

The second stage is the universal PP20 WodaRO sediment cartridge made of polypropylene string. It is responsible for more precise mechanical filtration and retains all kinds of contaminants such as sand, silt, and rust.

PP20 polypropylene string cartridges are made of pure polypropylene fiber wound around a filter core. This design ensures an increase in filter density toward its core. As a result, larger contaminant particles are retained in the outer layer of the cartridge, while smaller ones are trapped within its structure, which translates into effective use of the entire filtration surface and extends cartridge service life.

The cartridge is intended for preliminary filtration of suspensions and mechanical sediments that may cause damage to heating devices and household appliances. It can be used for cold and hot utility water within the range specified in the cartridge technical parameters.

Antibacterial centering discs – stable installation and additional protection

The set includes 2 antibacterial centering discs. The discs were made using BACinix™ antibacterial technology based on nanosilver, which acts bacteriostatically and helps prevent the growth of microorganisms inside the filtration system. This solution makes it possible to extend operating time and protects the system against microbiological contamination.

Operation and application

The filter works best as a preliminary stage of protection for the entire household water system. Removing mechanical sediments at the system inlet helps limit the build-up of contaminants in faucets, valves, toilet cisterns, water heaters, and other devices using utility water.

It is also a good solution as a pre-filter before more advanced water treatment systems, including systems such as reverse osmosis or a reverse osmosis filter, where effective mechanical filtration helps protect the subsequent purification stages.
