Mechanical water filtration for Big Blue 10" housings

WP series cartridges are mechanical filters made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric. The WP10-1B model has been designed for operation in 10-inch BIG BLUE inline housings and in the HHBB-10B water treatment station.

Thanks to a filtration accuracy below 1 micron, the cartridge effectively reduces mechanical impurities present in water, such as sand, silt, rust, and other suspended solids. This solution is especially useful wherever protection of the water system, fittings, and subsequent filtration stages matters.

How does the polypropylene nonwoven cartridge work?

The cartridge structure is based on properly formed polypropylene nonwoven fabric, so water flows through the entire structure of the filtration material. This mode of operation supports effective capture of fine solid particles and suspended matter that could otherwise settle in the installation or reduce the efficiency of subsequent treatment stages.

This type of mechanical sediment cartridge performs very well as a pre-filter. It can support more advanced solutions, such as an osmotic filter, a reverse osmosis filter, or a complete reverse osmosis system, because it limits the flow of mechanical impurities to subsequent cartridges.
