10" cartridge housing for cold-water pre-filtration

Aquafilter FHPR1-B1-AQ is a two-piece 10" cartridge housing designed for mechanical filtration and preliminary treatment of cold water. The design consists of a transparent sump and a head with a 1" brass thread, making the housing suitable for installations where convenient handling, tight sealing, and quick inspection of the cartridge condition matter.

This model can operate as a standalone water filter or as part of an expanded system installed in series with other housings and cartridges. It is a practical solution wherever staged water treatment or effective protection of downstream installation components is required.

The transparent PET sump allows you to assess the cartridge dirt level on an ongoing basis without disassembling the housing. This makes it easier to plan cartridge replacement and operate the entire water filtration system on a daily basis.

The built-in air release valve allows air trapped in the filter after cartridge replacement to be removed. This makes restarting the housing after servicing simpler and more convenient.

Application

The FHPR-B1 housing can be installed as a single unit or connected in series, depending on the installation requirements. This flexibility allows the configuration to be adapted to the installation location and the expected level of filtration.

The housing is installed on the pipe supplying cold water to the apartment, especially where moderate water demand is expected. It can also be mounted before expensive household appliances such as a washing machine or dishwasher, where it helps reduce the buildup of various contaminants.

Thanks to compatibility with 10" cartridges, the housing can work with a wide range of mechanical, specialty, and carbon cartridges, including softening, iron-removal, and antibacterial types. This means the housing can serve not only as an independent pre-filter, but also as a base for further expansion of the water treatment system, and in more complex installations it can complement systems such as an osmotic filter, reverse osmosis filter, reverse osmosis, or a complete reverse osmosis system.

Sediment cartridges included

2 polypropylene cartridges, 5 micron

The set includes 2 sediment cartridges made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric in Melt-Blown technology. 100% pure polypropylene was used, with no additives.

The cartridges are intended for mechanical filtration and remove contaminants such as:

• sand

• rust

• suspended solids

The cartridge service life is estimated at 3–6 months, depending on the contamination level of the incoming water and the intensity of use.

The set includes 2 x 5 micron polypropylene cartridge. It is possible to replace them with 20 micron cartridges — in that case, please provide this information after purchase.

Antibacterial BACinix centering disc

The set also includes an antibacterial centering disc. This component is made using BACInix™ antibacterial technology, which uses nanosilver with bacteriostatic properties to help prevent the growth of microorganisms inside the filtration system. This solution helps extend operating time and helps protect the system from microbiological contamination.

Operation and everyday use

The housing has been designed to make cartridge replacement and filter operation control easier. The transparent body allows you to quickly assess the contamination level, and the included wrench makes it easier to unscrew the housing during servicing.

After replacing the cartridge, it is worth using the air release valve to release the air trapped inside the housing. Proper seating of the cartridge and use of the centering disc support stable installation and help reduce the risk of cartridge damage when tightening the components.

Regular replacement of the sediment cartridge, usually every 3–6 months, helps maintain effective mechanical filtration and protect the downstream water installation components.
