Description

WATER FILTER PRELIMINARY BODY HOUSING FI 1'' G 3-STAGE + CARTRIDGES SET is a complete water filter for cold-water installations, designed to protect household fixtures, appliances, and subsequent stages of the water filtration system. The set operates in a 3-stage configuration, uses the popular 10" cartridge standard and 1" female-thread connections, making it suitable as a pre-filter at the water inlet to a house or before a selected appliance. It helps trap mechanical sediment, reduce chlorine, and improve the taste and odor of water, providing practical support for installations, water treatment systems, softeners, or systems such as reverse osmosis filter.

Complete pre-filter for home and cold-water installations

This is a ready-to-install inline 3-stage set in the 10" standard, equipped with a triple housing with transparent bowls, a pressure release button, a mounting bracket, a wrench, and three filter cartridges. Such a configuration works well where both protection of the installation against mechanical contaminants and improvement of the organoleptic properties of the water are important.

The filter can operate as the first stage of treatment at the cold-water inlet to a building or as protection for a specific appliance, e.g. a boiler, washing machine, dishwasher, softener, or water treatment station. It is also a sensible solution as a pre-stage for more advanced systems where an osmosis filter or reverse osmosis system operates later.

How 3-stage filtration works

The system has been designed so that the individual stages complement one another and jointly improve the quality of the water supplied to the installation and appliances.

  1. Foam filter – traps solid particles such as sand, rust, and suspended matter, while also protecting the subsequent filtration stages from rapid clogging.
  2. BLOK carbon filter – responsible for chlorine adsorption and for improving the taste and odor of water.
  3. UDF carbon – completes the purification process, provides additional sorption, and supports the bacteriostatic effect.

Main benefits

  • Effective protection of installations and appliances against sand, silt, rust, and chlorine.
  • 10" standard – wide availability of cartridges and low operating costs later on.
  • 3-part housing – reliable sealing and quick cartridge replacement.
  • Transparent housing bowls – visual contamination check without dismantling.
  • Pressure release button – easy and clean start-up after installation or servicing.
  • Solid materials, assembled in the EU – durability and trouble-free operation.
  • 1" female threads – compatibility with typical household installations.

What is included in the set

  • Triple 1" inline housing with 1" female-thread inlet and outlet.
  • 3 x 10" filter cartridges:
    • foam – mechanical filtration, trapping sand, silt, and rust,
    • carbon block – chlorine reduction, improved taste and odor,
    • UDF (granular carbon) – additional sorption and bacteriostatic effect.
  • Mounting plate/bracket.
  • Housing wrench.
  • Mounting screws.

Application

The set is intended for use:

  • at the cold-water inlet to a house as a pre-filter,
  • before a selected appliance such as a boiler, washing machine, dishwasher, softener, or water treatment station,
  • for municipal water,
  • for well water as an initial filtration stage.

This helps the filter reduce the amount of mechanical sediment reaching further parts of the installation, taps, aerators, and appliances, while also supporting subsequent treatment stages.

Installation – simple and without surprises

Proper installation has a direct impact on tightness, ease of use, and cartridge life. Recommended installation sequence:

  1. Close the main valve and secure the work area.
  2. Install the mounting bracket and level it carefully.
  3. Connect the housing, maintaining the correct flow direction for cold water.
  4. Insert the cartridges into the bowls and tighten the rings with the wrench.
  5. Slowly turn the water back on, bleed the system using the button, and check for leaks.

Important: install on cold water only. The filter must be protected from frost.

Operation and servicing

Daily operation of the set is simple, and the transparent bowls make it easy to assess the degree of cartridge contamination without disassembling the entire unit.

  • Check contamination through the transparent bowl.
  • Indicative replacement intervals, depending on water quality and usage: foam – every 1–3 months, carbon block and UDF – every 3–6 months.
  • Replace cartridges sooner if pressure drops or the taste and odor of the water worsen.

The 10" standard makes later servicing and the selection of replacement filter cartridges easier. The housing supports popular mechanical and carbon solutions, allowing the configuration to be adapted to installation operating conditions.

Safety and good practice

After first start-up, flush the system for several minutes.

In the case of large pressure fluctuations, it is worth using a pressure reducer and a service bypass.

Carbon cartridges do not replace disinfection in the event of microbiological contamination of the water.

In practice, this means that the filter very effectively supports the protection of the installation and improves water use comfort, but in the case of specific water-quality issues such as high iron or manganese concentration, hydrogen sulfide, or microbiological risk, it is worth expanding the system with additional dedicated filtration stages.

Why this set is a practical choice

This solution combines completeness, simple installation, stable operating parameters, and convenient servicing. The user receives a complete starter set with housing, cartridges, and mounting accessories, while also benefiting from the popular 10" standard, which makes future operation easier.

  • Completeness, 10" standard, stable operating parameters, and simple servicing.
  • Real protection for fixtures, taps, aerators, household appliances, and downstream treatment stages.
  • Fast results at home: cleaner water, less mechanical sediment, better taste and odor.
