Description
3-STAGE Inline Water Filter 1" with 10" Cartridges + Wrench + Flow Bracket is a complete water filter for cold water, intended as a pre-filter at the main inlet to a house or before selected appliances. This 3-stage water filtration system supports everyday water treatment, protects the installation against mechanical contaminants, and at the same time improves the taste and smell of water thanks to carbon cartridges. The set includes a 1" housing with transparent bowls, three 10" cartridges, a mounting bracket, a wrench, and screws, making it ready for installation and convenient later operation.
Complete pre-filter for the home and appliances
This solution was designed with domestic cold-water installations in mind. The triple inline filter works both as the first stage of protection for the entire system and as protection for individual devices that require cleaner feed water.
The filter helps reduce the ingress of contaminants such as sand, silt, rust, and suspended solids into the installation, and thanks to the carbon cartridges it also reduces chlorine and improves the organoleptic properties of the water. It is a practical choice wherever protection of fittings, household appliances, and further treatment stages matters.
How 3-stage filtration works
The set works in stages, so each filter cartridge is responsible for a different scope of water purification:
- Foam filter – traps solid particles such as sand, rust, and suspended solids, while also protecting the next filtration stages from faster wear.
- BLOK carbon filter – responsible for adsorbing chlorine and improving the taste and smell of water.
- UDF carbon – complements the purification process, provides additional sorption, and supports the bacteriostatic effect.
This arrangement works well as a preliminary stage before more advanced solutions such as a water treatment station, water softener, as well as installations where reverse osmosis, an osmosis filter, a reverse osmosis system, or a reverse osmosis filter operate further downstream.

Installation – simple and without surprises
- Turn off the main valve and secure the work area.
- Screw on the mounting bracket and level it precisely.
- Connect the housing, observing the flow direction for cold water.
- Insert the cartridges into the bowls and tighten the rings using the wrench.
- Slowly turn on the water, bleed the system with the button, and check for leaks.
Install only on cold water; protect from frost.
Operation and servicing
Operation of the set is convenient and does not require complicated steps. The transparent bowls make it easy to monitor the condition of the cartridges on an ongoing basis, so it is easy to assess when service is approaching.
- Check contamination through the transparent bowl.
- Indicative replacement intervals, depending on water quality and usage: foam every 1–3 months, carbon block and UDF every 3–6 months.
- Cartridges should be replaced earlier if pressure drops or the taste and smell of the water worsen.
Safety and best practices
After the first startup, flush the system for several minutes.
With large pressure fluctuations, a pressure reducer and a service bypass are recommended.
Carbon cartridges do not replace disinfection in the event of microbiological contamination of water.

Questions
Do cartridges other than the ones included in the set fit?
Yes. The housing supports any standard 10" cartridge, including mechanical cartridges with different filtration precision, block carbon and GAC carbon cartridges, as well as specialist cartridges, for example iron removal cartridges, if available in the 10" version.
Is the set suitable for well water?
Yes, as a pre-filter. If iron or manganese levels are exceeded, turbidity is very high, or there is a hydrogen sulfide smell, it is worth supplementing the installation with suitable media or additional treatment stages.
Can the filter be installed horizontally?
Vertical installation is recommended, with the head at the top. This position ensures proper flow, easier cartridge replacement, and effective system bleeding.
What pressure is safe for the filter to operate at?
The recommended operating pressure is up to 6 bar. The construction withstands up to approx. 8 bar, but for safety and longer installation life, it is worth staying at 6 bar and using a pressure reducer where pressure spikes occur.
What is the actual flow through the set?
The maximum flow is up to approx. 4000 l/h with fresh cartridges and good water parameters. Actual performance depends on the degree of cartridge contamination and the pressure in the installation.
When should the filter cartridges be replaced?
Cartridges should be replaced when pressure noticeably drops, the taste or smell of the water worsens, or when the indicative service life has passed. In more difficult conditions, for example with well water or high usage, replacements may be needed more often.
Can the transparent bowl promote algae growth?
If the filter is exposed to direct sunlight, it is worth using a cover or installing it in a shaded place. In typical boiler rooms, technical recesses, and utility rooms, this is usually not a problem.
Does this set remove limescale from water?
No. This set does not soften water. Its purpose is mechanical protection of the installation and reduction of chlorine, as well as improvement of taste and smell. Water softening requires a separate ion-exchange softener.
Do carbon cartridges remove bacteria?
Carbon cartridges improve the organoleptic properties of water and support a bacteriostatic effect, but they do not replace disinfection. If there is a risk of microbiological contamination, additional methods should be used, for example a UV lamp after filtration.
Can the cartridge be flushed and used again?
Foam mechanical cartridges can sometimes be flushed for short-term refreshment, but to maintain full effectiveness, regular replacement is recommended. Carbon cartridges are not regenerated — they should be replaced with new ones.
Is the set suitable for operation at low temperatures?
No. The minimum operating temperature is approx. 2°C. The filter must be protected from freezing, as frost can damage the housing and seals.
How should the installation be prepared for mounting?
It is best to include shut-off valves before and after the filter, as well as a service bypass. This makes cartridge replacement and maintenance easier and does not require shutting down the entire system.
Can the water be temporarily cloudy after installation?
Yes. This is a typical sign of air in the system after startup. The phenomenon disappears after a few minutes of flushing the system and bleeding with the button on the head.
