7 filtration stages – how does this system work?

The heart of the filter is a multi-layer filter bed, where each stage is responsible for a different scope of water purification. It combines mechanical filtration, adsorption, and specialized media that improve shower comfort.

0. Stainless steel mesh

The first mechanical barrier captures larger contaminants such as rust and sand. This protects the subsequent filter layers from becoming overloaded too quickly.

1. Polypropylene nonwoven (PP)

It traps suspended matter and sediment, supporting water clarity and the continued effectiveness of the entire cartridge.

2. Coconut shell activated carbon

It adsorbs volatile organic compounds, pesticides, heavy metals, and substances responsible for bad taste and odor in water.

3. KDF® media

The copper-zinc alloy neutralizes heavy metals, including lead and mercury, and additionally acts bacteriostatically.

4. Calcium sulfate (calcium)

It effectively removes chlorine, especially at higher temperatures, which matters during a hot shower and translates into greater comfort for the skin and respiratory system.

5. Vitamin C beads

Step-by-step installation instructions

Installation is quick and tool-free. The whole process usually takes no more than a minute.

1. Turn off the water and unscrew the existing accessory (hand shower, overhead shower, or faucet end).
2. Screw in the filter in the chosen place (on the shower arm, centrally in front of the hand shower, directly to the faucet, or before the overhead shower).
3. Reinstall the accessory (hand shower, overhead shower, or faucet end) onto the lower thread of the filter.
4. Turn on the water, check for leaks, and flush the filter for about 1 minute.

After installation, you can immediately use the filter and enjoy a more comfortable, more pleasant shower every day.

Cartridge replacement and maintenance

VitaSkin 7-in-1 uses a replaceable filter cartridge, so everyday use remains convenient and economical. Instead of replacing the entire filter, you only need to replace the cartridge periodically.

The recommended cartridge life is 3-6 months or approximately 10,000 - 12,000 liters of water, depending on usage intensity and the level of water contamination.

Signs indicating the cartridge is worn out:

• reduced water pressure,
• the return of chlorine odor,
• the recommended replacement period has passed.
