Description

6W UV Lamp Bactericidal Sterilizer is a complete solution for water disinfection in installations with 1/4" tubing, especially where a RO filter, reverse osmosis system, or another water filtration system is used. The UV1G-M model uses UV-C radiation to effectively reduce bacteria and viruses without the use of chemicals and without affecting the taste or odor of the water. The set includes a lamp with a Philips 6W bulb, a glass sleeve, a power supply, and installation accessories, making it a practical addition to water treatment systems, especially for well water and non-chlorinated water.

Effective chemical-free water disinfection

The complete UV1G-M lamp with Philips 6W bulb and power supply has been prepared for use with RO filters and installations using 1/4" tubing. This solution is especially recommended for well water or other non-chlorinated water, where additional microbiological protection is important.

Ultraviolet radiation has strong bactericidal and virucidal properties. As a result, the UV lamp helps protect water against the presence of living organisms such as bacteria and viruses, and the entire process takes place without dosing chemical agents.

How the UV lamp works in a water treatment system

Exposing water to ultraviolet light is an effective and increasingly popular disinfection method. It is a physical process that does not introduce any chemicals into the water, so it does not change its taste or odor.

UV light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength of 100-400 nm. The UV-C range is responsible for the bactericidal and virucidal effect, indicated here as 200 to 800 nm. With properly selected exposure time and ultraviolet radiation intensity, it is possible to destroy pathogenic microorganisms by damaging their DNA.

The operation of the UV lamp causes the immediate elimination of up to 99.98% of viruses and bacteria living in the water. For this reason, the lamp can be a very good addition to a domestic filtration system when a classic water filter or reverse osmosis filter is to be expanded with a microbiological sterilization stage.

Main advantages of using a UV lamp

  • thanks to ultraviolet radiation, it effectively disinfects water by destroying bacteria and viruses present in it,
  • protects water against the development of pathogenic microorganisms,
  • provides a natural method of water disinfection, without the need to introduce toxic chemicals,
  • does not change the taste or odor of the water.

Application

The 6W UV lamp is designed to operate in installations with connections for 1/4" tubing. It works well as the final stage of water treatment in systems using reverse osmosis, an RO filter, or another domestic water filtration system.

It is a practical choice wherever, in addition to standard filtration, an extra microbiological barrier is needed. This applies in particular to well water and non-chlorinated water.

The lamp is intended for water disinfection in installations with 1/4" tubing and can complement an existing filtration system. The set includes a converter with a power supply and an audible bulb burnout alarm, which makes ongoing monitoring of the device's operation easier.
