Operation and regeneration

After the working capacity of the resin is exhausted and nitrates appear in the effluent, the media is renewed by regeneration with a common rock salt solution. The achieved working capacity depends largely on the amount of salt used for regeneration.

The resin is regenerated with NaCl solution. To maintain proper operation of the denitrification unit, the recommended regeneration, rinsing, and flow parameters must be followed. The working capacity obtained depends on the salt dose used during regeneration.
