Description

PP50 WodaRO 50-micron string wound cartridge is a universal 10" filter cartridge for pre-filtration of cold and hot water. It works well as a water filter in standard 10" filter housings, as well as in under-sink systems such as an osmosis filter, reverse osmosis filter, or an advanced water filtration system. The cartridge effectively traps mechanical impurities, including sand, silt, and rust, helping protect fittings, heating appliances, and household equipment.

Sediment cartridge for effective pre-filtration

The WodaRO PP50 model is designed for water treatment by removing mechanical impurities present in the installation. Its role is to capture solid particles before the next stage of purification, supporting safe and stable operation of the entire filtration system.

This solution is intended for precise pre-filtration and is used both in classic 10-inch filter housings and in under-sink and osmosis systems. In practice, this means wide application in domestic and utility installations where protection of subsequent elements of the water treatment system is important.

Polypropylene fiber construction

The cartridge is made of pure polypropylene fiber wound around a filter core. This design is not accidental — it ensures increasing filter density toward the core, which improves performance and allows better use of the entire structure of the filter material.

As a result, larger impurities are retained in the outer layers of the cartridge, while finer particles are captured deeper inside, closer to the center of the filter. This operating arrangement improves filtration efficiency and supports longer cartridge service life.

What does the WodaRO PP50 cartridge trap?

The 50-micron string wound cartridge is designed to remove typical mechanical impurities present in water. It effectively traps:

  • sand,
  • silt,
  • rust,
  • other mechanical impurities that may circulate in the installation.

The presence of such deposits in water may accelerate wear of fittings and components, and may also negatively affect the operation of heating appliances and household equipment. Pre-filtration helps reduce this risk.

Key advantages of the WodaRO string wound cartridge

  • the density gradient of the cartridge allows larger impurity particles to be retained in the outer layer of the filter and smaller ones inside, which extends cartridge life,
  • minimal pressure drop at high flow rates,
  • the cartridge has PZH hygienic approvals,
  • made of materials certified by NSF and FDA,
  • operating temperature from 1°C to 52°C,
  • high rigidity and durability,
  • service life up to 6 months.

Application in filtration systems

PP50 WodaRO fits standard 10" filter housings. It can also be used in under-sink solutions and as part of installations where reverse osmosis or a complete reverse osmosis system is used. In such systems, the sediment cartridge performs an important protective function by limiting the inflow of mechanical particles to subsequent filtration stages.

It is a practical choice wherever effective water treatment and initial protection of equipment against deposits present in the water supply network or water from a private source are needed, provided the installation parameters are compatible with the intended use of the cartridge.

Important operating information: cartridge service life is up to 6 months or 14,000 liters and depends on the level of contamination of the incoming water. In the event of a noticeable drop in flow or heavy impurity load, the cartridge should be replaced earlier. The operating temperature range is from 1°C to 52°C.

Why choose a 50-micron cartridge?

The 50-micron filtration rating makes this cartridge well suited as the first stage of installation protection. It effectively removes larger and medium-sized mechanical impurities without excessively restricting flow. This is especially important where a combination of effective pre-filtration, convenient use, and stable equipment operation matters.

Thanks to the low pressure drop at high flow rates, the cartridge can support the everyday operation of a household water treatment system without placing excessive strain on the installation.

FAQ

What is the WodaRO PP50 string wound cartridge used for?

It is a sediment cartridge for pre-filtration, designed to remove mechanical impurities from water, such as sand, silt, and rust. It helps protect the water system, heating appliances, and household equipment.

Does this cartridge fit standard 10-inch housings?

Yes. The cartridge has a height of 10" and is designed for standard 10-inch filter housings. It can also be used in selected under-sink filters and osmosis systems.

What impurities does the 50-micron filter trap?

The cartridge traps mechanical impurities present in water, including sand, silt, rust, and other solid particles that may accumulate in the installation.

What does the cartridge density gradient mean?

The cartridge design causes the density of the filter material to increase toward the core. As a result, larger impurities are captured closer to the outer layer, and smaller ones inside the cartridge, which increases performance and extends filter life.

How long can the PP50 cartridge be used?

The service life is up to 6 months or 14,000 liters. The actual operating time depends on the level of contamination of the incoming water and the intensity of use.

Is the cartridge suitable for cold and hot water?

Yes. The operating temperature range is from 1°C to 52°C, so the cartridge is intended for treatment of cold and hot water within this range.

Can the cartridge be used in reverse osmosis systems?

Yes. The cartridge can work as a pre-filtration stage in under-sink and osmosis installations, including those with a reverse osmosis filter or a complete reverse osmosis system.

What are the main benefits of using this cartridge?

The key advantages are effective mechanical filtration, minimal pressure drop at high flow rates, high rigidity and durability, service life up to 6 months, and construction from materials certified by NSF and FDA. The cartridge also has PZH hygienic approvals and a hygienic certificate.

Where was the WodaRO PP50 cartridge manufactured?

The cartridge was manufactured in the EU.
