INS14 insert strengthens the walls of the 1/4 inch hose, thus protecting against kinking during the twisting of the connection in JACO (screw-type) fittings. The sleeve is installed inside the hose exclusively for screw-type fittings - it should not be used for JG (quick-connect) fittings.
