How does this set of cartridges work?

In a system such as an osmosis filter or another water filter based on a membrane, the correct sequence and quality of the individual filtration stages are of great importance. This set is responsible for removing mechanical impurities, reducing compounds that worsen the taste and odor of the water, and for the final demineralization of osmosis water.

1. AQUA VITA FCPS20 sediment cartridge

This is a high-quality cartridge with a filtration accuracy of 20 microns. At this stage, mechanical impurities present in tap water are removed, such as sand, silt, and rust, with particle sizes up to 20 µm.

The cartridge is made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric, which is characterized by very good contaminant absorption. Its structure resembles a foam-like consistency, and its surface contains a large number of open-cell micropores, which promotes effective trapping of solid particles.

The filter has PZH and TUV approvals as well as BPA FREE and PHALATE FREE markings.

2. AQUA VITA FCCBL10 sintered activated carbon filter

The carbon block is essential for protecting the osmotic membrane. Its task is to reduce substances that may lower the efficiency of the reverse osmosis system and worsen the sensory parameters of the water.

The cartridge removes from 98% to 99% of free chlorine, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons from the water, thereby improving the taste and odor of the water. In addition, it reduces up to 85% of chlorinated pesticides, polyaromatic compounds, phenol, benzene, and organic substances.

The carbon block is distinguished by lower dusting than carbon granules, which is important for stable and clean operation of the filtration system. The filter has PZH and TUV approvals as well as BPA FREE and PHALATE FREE markings.

3. MB20 Amberlite / Purolite resin

The set includes 0.75 liters of MB20 resin, a ready-to-use, homogeneous mixture of anion and cation exchange resins. This media is designed for water demineralization and removal of residual contaminants.

MB-20 resin is used in domestic and industrial devices for post-treatment of osmosis water. It is especially useful where a very high degree of water purity is expected after passing through the osmotic membrane.
