How does FCCBKDF2 work? Structure and filtration stages
The cartridge is built from three layers, each responsible for a different stage of water treatment.
First layer – KDF media
The first layer is responsible for removing hydrogen sulfide and pesticides from the water and for reducing the concentration of heavy metals and iron. The KDF media helps reduce the concentration of heavy metals such as:

Additionally, the KDF layer has bacteriostatic properties that prevent bacteria from developing on the filtration media.
Second layer – water-softening media
