Description
The FCCBKDF2 cartridge is filled with activated carbon from coconut shells, a softening medium, and KDF medium. The cartridge is constructed from three layers.
The first layer - (KDF medium) removes hydrogen sulfide, pesticides, and reduces the concentration of heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium), and iron from the water. It has bacteriostatic properties that prevent the growth of bacteria on the filtration medium.
The second layer - (water softening medium) converts calcium and magnesium ions (the so-called "hardness minerals") into sodium ions.
The third layer - (high-quality carbon from coconut shells) removes chlorine, chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons (improving the taste and smell of water), polycyclic compounds, phenol, benzene, and organic substances from the water.
The cartridge is designed for treating cold drinking water or general use. It is equipped with a final filter that prevents particles from the medium from escaping outside the cartridge. The cartridge should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin.
To extend its lifespan, a mechanical filter housing from the FCPS or FCPP series should be installed before the housing with the FCCBKDF2 cartridge.
