Aquafilter FCCBKDF10BB is a carbon filter cartridge for 10" Big Blue housings. It contains activated carbon from coconut shells and KDF media, which reduces chlorine (up to 99%), improves the taste and smell of water, and limits selected organic contaminants. The KDF media helps inhibit the growth of bacterial flora in the filter medium and reduces the content of heavy metals, iron, and hydrogen sulfide, among others.
Description
Carbon cartridge, filled with activated carbon from coconut shell and KDF media. Activated carbon from coconut shell removes chlorine, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons from water (improving the taste and smell of water), polycyclic aromatic compounds, phenol, benzene, as well as organic substances.
KDF media prevents the growth of bacterial flora on the filtration media, reduces the concentration of heavy metals contained in water (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury) and iron, removes hydrogen sulfide and pesticides.
The cartridge is intended for treating cold drinking water or general use. It should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin.
The cartridge is designed for 10" Big Blue type housings.
