Aquafilter FCCBKDF-STO is a two-stage polypropylene-carbon filter with KDF® media. The first layer made of PP non-woven fabric captures mechanical impurities (rust, sand, silt, suspensions), while the carbon part reduces chlorine and compounds that worsen the taste and smell of water. The KDF® media supports the removal of heavy metals, iron compounds, hydrogen sulfide, and pesticides, and has a bacteriostatic effect on the media.
Aquafilter FCCBKDF-STO is a two-stage filter cartridge for cold water, combining mechanical filtration, activated carbon, and KDF® media. This water filter works well in countertop filters, under-sink systems, and many installations where effective water treatment, better taste, and reduction of selected contaminants matter. The cartridge traps mechanical sediment, reduces chlorine and substances that worsen odor, while also supporting the operation of a household water filtration system, including solutions used before setups such as an osmotic filter or a reverse osmosis system.

The FCCBKDF-STO model is a two-stage polypropylene-carbon cartridge with KDF® media, designed for treating cold drinking water or general utility water. The cartridge design combines two complementary filtration stages, improving water quality both mechanically and chemically.
The cartridge is especially recommended for countertop filters from the FHCTF, FHCTF1, and FHCTF2 series, as well as for under-sink systems. It also fits most 10-inch inline housings, under-sink systems, and countertop filters available on the market.
The cartridge is built with two working layers, each responsible for a different scope of water purification.
The first layer is polypropylene nonwoven fabric. Its task is to remove mechanical impurities present in water, such as:
This layer retains particles with a grain size of no less than 10 µm, protecting the next elements of the filtration system and improving water clarity.
The second filtration stage uses a combination of activated carbon and KDF® media. At this stage, the following are removed from the water:
Additionally, the activated carbon used in the cartridge reduces:
The effect of the carbon layer is also a noticeable improvement in the taste and odor of the water. The KDF® media also exhibits bacteriostatic properties, which help prevent the growth of bacterial flora on the filtration media.
The Aquafilter FCCBKDF-STO cartridge is intended for the treatment of cold drinking water and general utility water. It can be used as a filtration element in under-sink systems, countertop filters, and 10” inline housings. It is a practical choice wherever simultaneous reduction of mechanical sediment and compounds affecting the sensory quality of water is needed.
Due to its scope of operation, the cartridge can be a valuable part of water preparation in more advanced installations, also when the home system includes a reverse osmosis filter or reverse osmosis as the next treatment stage.
The cartridge is intended exclusively for cold drinking water or general utility water. It should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin.
To extend the service life of the cartridge, it is recommended to install an additional housing with a mechanical cartridge from the FCPS or FCPP series before the housing with the carbon cartridge.
The service life of the cartridge depends on the quality of the feed water and the intensity of use.

It is a filter cartridge for treating cold drinking water or general utility water. It combines mechanical filtration with the action of activated carbon and KDF® media, helping remove sediment, chlorine, and selected chemical compounds that affect water quality.
The first layer made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric retains mechanical impurities such as rust, sand, silt, and suspended solids. The filtration covers particles with a grain size of no less than 10 µm.
The second layer reduces heavy metals, including arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury, as well as iron compounds, hydrogen sulfide, and pesticides. The activated carbon also helps remove chlorine, chlorine-derived solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, polyaromatic compounds, phenol, benzene, and organic substances.
Yes. Thanks to the presence of activated carbon, the cartridge reduces compounds responsible for unpleasant taste and odor, including chlorine and selected organic substances, resulting in more comfortable everyday use of water.
Yes, the cartridge fits most 10-inch inline housings, as well as many under-sink systems and countertop filters available on the market. It is especially recommended for countertop filters from the FHCTF, FHCTF1, and FHCTF2 series.
The cartridge can work as a pre-treatment element in a more advanced water filtration system, including systems with a reverse osmosis filter or reverse osmosis system. It helps reduce some contaminants before further treatment stages.
No. The cartridge should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin. It is intended for cold drinking water or general utility water.
To extend the service life of the cartridge, it is recommended to install, before the housing with the carbon cartridge, an additional housing with a mechanical cartridge from the FCPS or FCPP series. Such a pre-filtration stage helps reduce the amount of sediment reaching the carbon section.
The service life of the cartridge depends primarily on the quality of the feed water and the intensity of use. The greater the contaminant load and the higher the water consumption, the sooner the cartridge may require replacement.
