BIOCERA A-A, also known as Biocera AntiOxidant Alkaline, is an efficient filtration cartridge based on minerals. It was developed by the renowned Korean manufacturer Biocera and uses patented technology enclosed in a large 2.5" x 11" housing.

The cartridge is used in systems such as reverse osmosis, where it serves as a final module improving the water properties after membrane filtration. Its task is to ionize water, raise pH, and lower ORP, i.e. the oxidation-reduction potential.

As a result, after passing through the cartridge, the water gains a more alkaline character and a lower redox potential, which translates into its specific functional and taste properties.

How the BIOCERA A-A cartridge works

The cartridge ionizes water, raises its pH, and lowers ORP to as much as -750 mV. ORP, also referred to as redox or oxidation-reduction potential, is an indicator describing the ability of an environment to undergo oxidation and reduction processes.

A negative ORP value means that the water exhibits antioxidant properties. In contrast, a positive ORP value is associated with oxidizing properties. In practice, this means that a lower, negative redox potential is associated with water with antioxidant characteristics.

In natural sources considered exceptional, the REDOX potential is often lower than -200 mV. BIOCERA A-A can lower ORP to as much as -750 mV, thanks to which the water gains the properties of a strong, natural antioxidant, with a large amount of free electrons, and is intended to counteract the body's aging processes.
