Complete set of Big Blue 20" cartridges for effective water filtration

The set has been prepared for users of HHBB20B stations and standard Big Blue 20" housings. It includes three specialized filter cartridges that complement one another and address successive areas of water quality improvement.

This combination works wherever a multi-stage filter cartridge is needed for drinking and utility water: in a home, single-family building, technical installation, or as part of a larger water treatment system. The set can also be used as a pre-treatment element before more advanced solutions such as an reverse osmosis filter, osmosis filter or reverse osmosis system.

How this filtration set works

Each cartridge is responsible for a different filtration range. As a result, the set reduces both solid contaminants and selected substances affecting water quality, odor, and taste.

FCPS20M20B – mechanical cartridge

The FCPS20M20B cartridge works as the first stage of drinking and utility water filtration. Its task is to retain mechanical contaminants that can reduce water quality and burden subsequent filtration stages.

• Application: as the first stage of drinking and utility water filtration.
• Construction: made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric resembling foam with open-cell microbubbles.
• Functions: removes sand, silt, rust, and other mechanical contaminants sized 1-50 microns.
• Advantages:
  • excellent contaminant absorption,
  • low pressure drop,
  • resistance to chemicals and bacteria,
  • PZH certification.

This is an important protective stage for the entire water filtration system, as it takes on the solid contaminants present in the installation.

FCCBHD20BB – carbon cartridge with coconut shells

The FCCBHD20BB cartridge improves the utility properties of water and reduces substances affecting its odor and taste. The filtration medium used is based on high-quality carbon from coconut shells.

• Application: removal of chlorine and organic contaminants from drinking and utility water.
• Functions: removes up to 99% of free chlorine, chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, phenol, benzene, and some pesticides.
• Advantages:
  • high-quality carbon from coconut shells,
  • improves water taste and odor,
  • equipped with a final filter,
  • PZH certification.

This is a good choice wherever the goal is to reduce chlorine and improve everyday water use comfort.

FCCBKDF20BB – carbon cartridge with KDF

The FCCBKDF20BB cartridge combines the properties of activated carbon from coconut shells and KDF® media. As a result, it expands the filtration range to include substances particularly undesirable in utility and drinking water.

• Application: removal of heavy metals, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and pesticides from drinking or utility water.
• Functions: contains activated carbon from coconut shells and KDF® media.
• Advantages:
  • bacteriostatic action of KDF® media,
  • removes heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury),
  • improves water taste and odor,
  • equipped with a final filter preventing the media from escaping.

This stage supports water treatment in a range that matters both for utility quality and for greater operational safety of the installation.
