Original cartridge set for a 3-stage filter

The set includes original Aquafilter cartridges designed for use in a 3-stage filter. The set consists of filters with PZH certification and has been developed to simultaneously reduce sedimentary contaminants and lower the risk of calcium and magnesium deposits in the installation.

This is a solution recommended wherever water requires basic preparation before further filtration or before supplying household appliances and plumbing systems. The use of properly selected cartridges helps improve the operating conditions of subsequent system components and better protect fittings, household appliances, and heating components.

How this cartridge set works

The set combines two complementary filtration tasks. The FCPS20 cartridge is responsible for capturing mechanical contaminants, while the FCCST cartridges are responsible for softening the water and protecting the installation against limescale. As a result, the set supports both clean flow and reduced operating problems caused by hard water.

Configured in this way, the system can be used as a pre-filtration stage in domestic water treatment systems, as well as protection for more advanced filtration solutions. In practice, it helps protect more expensive functional cartridges and extend their comfortable service life.

FCPS20 10" – sediment cartridge made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric

FCPS20 is a cartridge made of high-quality foam, i.e. polypropylene nonwoven fabric, with a filtration rating of 20 microns. Its task is to remove mechanical contaminants from water, also referred to as sedimentary contaminants.

The cartridge works very well at removing fine fractions of solid contaminants larger than 20 microns, such as silt, sludge, and similar deposits. Such contaminants may be present both in water from a private well and in tap water, where they often enter during distribution.

The FCPS20 model is typically used, among others, in under-sink and inline filters. Its role is not limited to mechanical filtration only - the cartridge also provides important protection for more expensive carbon, softening, and iron-removal cartridges, as well as for the water installation itself and fittings.

The polypropylene nonwoven construction has been formed to ensure water filtration through the entire structure of the cartridge. This allows contaminants to be effectively captured throughout the full volume of the filter medium.

FCCST 10" – softening cartridge with ion-exchange granulate

The FCCST cartridge is designed to soften water. Inside it is ion-exchange granulate that reduces calcium and magnesium ions, replacing them with harmless sodium ions. In practice, this means lower water hardness and a reduced risk of limescale buildup in the installation and appliances.

This solution is particularly recommended for protecting household appliances, heating devices, and plumbing installations against the accumulation of calcium and magnesium deposits. Less limescale buildup translates into easier operation of devices and better protection of components that are in constant contact with water.

It is a good choice for everyday preparation of utility water and as support for multi-stage systems in which successive filter media require protection from sediment and suspended matter.

The set can serve as water pre-treatment before more advanced solutions, such as reverse osmosis, an osmosis filter, or a reverse osmosis system, if the system is fitted with compatible housings and the correct cartridge sequence. Pre-filtration helps limit contact of more delicate filter media with suspended matter and compounds responsible for deposit formation.

Why this set improves the protection of installations and devices
