The AC-ILW-25-QC-HF FITaqua 2.5" model has been designed for use in the AC-BIL-H water filter. In practice, it is responsible for capturing mechanical contaminants present in the water, such as silt, sand, and rust. It also reduces some bacteria and viruses. The filtration level is approx. 0.1 micron, which translates into very precise water purification at the mechanical filtration stage.

How does a capillary membrane work?

The cartridge is made of polypropylene fibers in the form of thin channels. The design is based on hollow, tapering "straws" whose diameter decreases from the outside toward the center.

This structure means that as water flows through, the membrane gradually captures finer and finer particles. As a result, the filtration process is effective and precise, and the cartridge itself performs well in applications requiring high accuracy in removing mechanical contaminants.

Operation and cartridge replacement

The membrane is designed for standard operation at a temperature of 2 to 38°C. The maximum flow rate is 3.8 l/min, so it performs best in installations that match this operating range.

The cartridge service life is up to 12 months. For maximum performance, the recommended usage period is 6 months or 11000 liters of water. The actual operating time always depends on the quality of the feed water and its level of contamination.

The built-in quick-connect fittings allow connection of a 1/4" hose or fittings with a male plug, simplifying installation and subsequent service handling.
