Description

2-stage carbon mesh filter is a complete water filter designed for installation at the point where water enters the domestic system. This 2-stage water filtration system combines mechanical and carbon filtration, helping remove sand, silt, rust, chlorine, and selected organic compounds, while also improving the taste and odor of water throughout the entire home.

This solution works well as a pre-filter for a domestic installation, as well as support for more advanced water treatment systems, including setups such as a reverse osmosis filter. The reusable mesh cartridge reduces the load on subsequent filtration stages, while the carbon block cartridge is responsible for improving the organoleptic properties of the water.

How the 2-stage filtration works

The set has been prepared as a pre-filter for installation at the system inlet. The first stage is responsible for retaining mechanical impurities, while the second improves the usable quality of water in terms of taste, odor, and reduction of selected chemical substances.

This arrangement helps protect downstream installation components, fittings, and additional filtration devices. It is a practical solution wherever the water contains sediment, rust, or noticeable chlorine.

Stage 1: WST10-50 TOP FILTER mesh cartridge

The reusable mesh cartridge is used to remove mechanical impurities such as sand, rust, silt, suspended solids, and similar deposits present in the water supplied to the installation.

Its important advantage is reusability. The cartridge does not require standard replacement after each contamination event, because it can be cleaned and reused for water filtration. Cleaning consists of rinsing the cartridge under running water.

The first filtration stage captures larger solid contaminants, which helps extend the service life of the subsequent filter cartridges operating further in the system.

Stage 2: FCBL10 WodaRO carbon block cartridge

The second filtration stage is a carbon block cartridge whose task is to improve the taste and odor of the water and reduce chlorine and its derivatives. The cartridge also removes mechanical impurities larger than 10 microns, eliminates lead and toxic heavy metals, and reduces organic compounds, including bacteria.

The cartridge is made of sintered activated carbon. This material removes from water 98% to 99% of free chlorine, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as up to 85% of chlorinated pesticides, polyaromatic compounds, phenol, benzene, and other organic substances. The cartridge is suitable for cold water treatment, including drinking water.

Antibacterial centering discs

The set includes 2 antibacterial centering discs. These elements were made using BACinix™ antibacterial technology with nanosilver, which has a bacteriostatic effect and helps prevent the growth of microorganisms inside the filtration system. This solution supports extended operating time and protects the system against microbiological contamination.

The centering disc makes correct cartridge installation easier, helps limit the growth of bacterial flora, reduces the risk of pathogenic microorganism development, ensures proper cartridge positioning while tightening the components, and decreases the likelihood of cartridge damage during installation. It was made from top-quality materials in the European Union and is compatible with most cartridges available on the market.

Housing and ease of use

The filter is based on a 10-inch, 2-stage inline housing that fits standard 10" cartridges. The 3-piece housing design promotes the tightness of the entire system while also making servicing and cartridge replacement easier.

The 3/4" connection allows the filter to be used at the point where water enters the home installation, and the included housing wrench makes routine operation easier. This solution was designed with everyday practicality, aesthetics, and ergonomics in mind.
